What this website does not collect

This website does not use analytics, advertising pixels, tracking cookies or chat widgets. Google Maps only loads if you choose to show it. See cookies & embeds.

Our web host, Afrihost, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting, for the period set by its own policies.

We only use your information for these purposes. We don't sell it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do their job for us. They act as our operators under POPIA and must keep it secure and confidential.

  • EmailJS (emailjs.com) delivers call-back requests from this website to our inbox. EmailJS is based outside South Africa, so your request is processed abroad. We rely on POPIA section 72 for this transfer. EmailJS may keep a short delivery log of messages sent, under its own privacy policy.
  • Our email provider, Gmail (Google), where requests are stored once received.
  • Our web host, Afrihost, which serves this website.
  • Our accountant and SARS, for tax records.
  • Parts suppliers or specialists, only the vehicle details they need to supply a part or carry out sub-contracted work.

If you message us on WhatsApp or visit our Facebook page, Meta processes that under its own privacy policy. The Facebook link on this site is a plain link: nothing is sent to Facebook unless you click it. If you choose to show the map, Google processes your request under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

  • Call-back requests that don't lead to a job: deleted within 6 months.
  • Job cards, quotes and invoices: at least 5 years, as required for tax records.
  • Warranty and complaint records: for as long as a claim could reasonably be made.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. If we believe your information has been accessed by someone without authority, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA section 22 requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold information about you and give you a copy
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Delete information we no longer need or are not allowed to keep
  • Stop using your information, or withdraw your consent

Contact our Information Officer using the details above. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 14 days. Some records, like invoices, must be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them; we'll tell you if that applies.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Marketing

We don't send marketing messages. If that ever changes, we will only send them if you opt in, and every message will include a way to unsubscribe.

Under 18s

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
